In 2002 the first Quarter Horse was
recognized as carrying the silver gene by the AQHA. This horse was Bar U
Champ Binder owned by LeRoy and Cathy Vossler of British Columbia,
Canada. It was discovered by the usual offspring color he was
producing.
Later another silver carrier bloodline
in AQHA was discovered. This was in Ms. Barbarella.
